India In Greece – Part Two

In Afghanistan we have the Pind mountains stretching from the banks of the Jhelum river far into Afghanistan. Those living alongside the Pind mountains live in the district of Daman. Similarly, in Greece we have the Pindu mountains and the people who live alongside are called the Athamanes, an ancient race tracing back to at least the ancient Hellenes. The Athamanes of the Pindu mountains in Greece are the same as those from the Pind mountains in Daman Afghanistan. The Greeks with their customary euphonic prefixes turned Daman into Adaman. The “D” was then changed into a phonetically similar “TH” and then they add the plural “ES” and we get Athamanes. The people who lived in the district of Daman Afghanistan were called the Tallan and the neighbours of the Athamanes of Greece were called the Talanes. The Daman of Afghanistan is the root of the Athamanes of Greece.

In Afghanistan we have the Lughman mountains, in Greece we have its counterpart the Locman mountains. In Afghanistan next to the province of Lughman is Hashtnagur. Nagur is a corruption of Nagara which is Sanskrit for town and “Hasht” is the Sanskrit word “Asta” meaning eight. Its name means the land of eight cities and they are as follows  –  Charsada – Prang – Rajjar – Sherpao – Tangi – Turangzai – Umarzai – Utmanzai. In Greece we have the same thing in Hestiotis, a district of ancient Thessaly. First we have the Greek suffix “Tis” which is derived from the Sanskrit suffix “Des” meaning land as we see in Bangladesh, and once again we have Hesti which is derived from the Sanskrit word “Asta” meaning eight. Hestiotis, like Hashtnagur, has eight cities which are as follows  –  Aeginion, Trikka, Pharkadon, Gomphoi, Pelinna, Metropolis, Phaloria and Ithome. Hestiotis in Greece gets its name from Hashtnagur in Afghanistan which was once part of the land of Bharata.

In Greece the Pindu mountains are connected to an area called the Cambunian mountains. In Afghanistan where we have the Pind mountains, we also have the Cam Buni mountains, through which runs the river Cam which is now known as the Kama. Buni is a corruption of Bhumi which means earth or region and Cam is simply the region they are located. So just as the Pindu mountains of Greece are a reflection of the Pind of Afghanistan, the Cambunian mountains in Greece simply reflect the Cam Buni mountain range of Afghanistan which was once part of greater India.

The connection between Afghanistan ( Greater India ) and Greece continues with the Apidanus, a river in Thessaly Greece. The “APA” is Sanskrit for water and the “Danus” is connected with the chief of Kasmir, Kashyapa Muni. Danu was the daughter of Daksha and the wife of Kashyapa muni from where the name Kashmir originates and from her we get the Danus river. In the Argonautica, a famous poem it mentions the Apidamus as follows  –  “And to him when he grew to manhood the Muses gave a bride, and taught him the arts of healing and of prophecy; and they made him the keeper of their sheep, of all that grazed on the Athamantian plain of Phthia and round steep Othrys and the sacred stream of the river Apidanus.” In this one poem alone all the words are a corruption of Sanskrit names. Othrys is a mountain in Thessaly Greece and its name is derived from the Sanskrit word Adri which means mountain. Athamanian is simply the people of Daman in Afghanistan and Apidanus is the river of the Danus.

In North Western Thessaly is the province of Trikala. Its name is Sanskrit  –  Tri  – Three  –  Kala  –  Time, it means past, present and future. According to Wiki its name first appeared in print in the 11th century as “Trikalatan” the suffix “Tan” simply being a corruption of stan which is Sanskrit for land, so we have the land of past, present and future. In the province of Trikala there is the region of Theopatra. Theo is simply a corruption of Devi which means divine. From Devi we Get the Greek word Deus which by changing the D into a phonetically similar “TH” they corrupt even further into “Theo”. Patra is a corruption of the word “Putra” meaning son, so within the Greek city of Trikala is the region of Theopatra which is a corruption of the Sanskrit Devipatra meaning “Divine son”. Also within the province of Trikala is the region of Megalo Kefalovriso, the Megalo comes from the Megar Talao in India, which is also the source of the Greek province of Megaris.

So once again to recap we have the Attac in India  –  Attica in Greece  –  The sea faring tettaikes of Attac India  –  The sea faring Tettaiges of Attica Greece  –  The Bahutians of India  –  The Boeotians of Greece  –  The Kori Indus of India  –  The Corinthus of Greece  –  The Magar Talao of India  –  The Magaris of Greece  –  The Logurh of Afghanistan  –  The Locris of Greece  –  The Pindu mountains of Greece  –  The pind mountains of Afghanistan  –  The Cambunian mountains of Greece  –  The Cam Buni mountains of Afghanistan  –  The Daman of Afghanistan  –  The Athemanes of Greece  –  The eight cities of Hashtnagar of Afghanistan  –  The eight cities of Hestiotis of Greece  –  Kashyapa Muni and the Danus of Afghanistan  –  The Apidanus of Greece.

The connection between these names are not just linguistic similarities, there are connections between mountain ranges and river systems and the biggest connection is that they were all part of a trade route. From the Kabul in Afghanistan to the Indus in India down towards the mouth of the Indus and on towards the Arabian sea. Throughout these trade routes were trading posts such as the Athemanes, the Attacs, the Tettas, the Boeotians, the Megara Taloa, these people connected with each other through trade and at some point, as an invincible force, these ocean going mariners migrated to Europe and Greece. Greece was originally known as Hellene, the Hellenes are those who worshipped the God Heli which is the Sanskrit name for the Sun and which the Greeks personally worshipped as Apollo Helios.

” The presence of a large body of Indian troops in the Persian army in Greece in 480 B.C. shows how far west the Indian connections were carried; and the discovery of modeled heads of Indians at Memphis, of about the fifth century B.C. shows that Indians were living there for trade. Hence there is no difficulty in regarding India as the source of the entirely new ideal of asceticism in the West.”  Professor Sir Flinders Patrie (1853-1942) British archaeologist and Egyptologist, author of Egypt and Israel.

“The Greeks were always speaking of India as the sacred territory of Dionysus and historians working under Alexander the Greek clearly mentions chronicles of the Puranas as sources of the myth of Dionysus.” Alain Danielou  –  1907-1994.

” It is more likely that Pythagoras was influenced by India than by Egypt. Almost all the theories, religions, philosophical and mathematical taught by the Pythagoreans, were known in India in the sixth century B.C., and the Pythagoreans, like the Jains and the Buddhists, refrained from the destruction of life and eating meat and regarded certain vegetables such as beans as taboo” “It seems that the so-called Pythagorean theorem of the quadrature of the hypotenuse was already known to the Indians in the older Vedic times, and thus before Pythagoras”. (Legacy of India 1937, p. 5). Professor H. G. Rawlinson.
