Raised in the Catholic tradition, he began searching seriously for deeper spiritual understanding from an early age. His search eventually led him to Bhagavad-gītā As It Is and the teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda, whom he met personally in New Mayapur, France, in 1976. From 1980 to 1988 he served in New Mayapur as a teacher and pujārī. He later served for ten years as Temple President of ISKCON Leicester. For the past twenty years he has regularly given discourses on Bhagavad-gītā and currently runs the Hare Krishna Centre in Leicester, where a programme of kīrtana, philosophy and prasādam is held every Saturday.He has also been appointed as an initiating spiritual master for the League of Devotees. His teaching is centred on making Kṛṣṇa consciousness practical, personal and accessible, while remaining firmly grounded in the teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda.
